Nutrition Program

The Nutrition Program is an important part of the mission of Child Lane. This program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in partnership with the California State Department of Education. Child Lane has been a Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Homes and Centers Sponsor Agency since 1989 and has recruited, trained, monitored, and reimbursed licensed family child care providers.

Child Lane's Nutrition Program supports close to 500 family child care providers in delivering nutritious meals to children. This program extends throughout the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Our commitment is to ensure children being cared for outside their own homes have the opportunity to live a balanced, healthy life by encouraging good nutrition and preventing health issues directly related to poor nutrition.
